Just give in. I would ensure that there is no PCI card in slot 1 or 5. Those slots usually share an irq with the video (check ur mb manual to see which slots share). Other than that, just be happy. It bothered me for a while too. Also, if u have an ISA slot don't use it.
Usually, if everything works, but no image, this indicates an incorrect refresh rate. Try going to safemode to remove and uninstall the old driver. Then, windows should boot with a standard VGA driver, which u can then update to the correct one.
