Have you looked in the structure view to see if anything is stretching over onto a second page? That's the most likely reason for blank pages.

Thanks for that, however I've made the change (previously I'd removed the lines altogether so put them back in as described) but it has made no difference. I even left it overnight as sometimes webi seems to take a while to pick up changes.

I don't think this will work because we still need to see all the other data in the row, but because it's formatted one line per column we want to omit empty columns (lines). Thanks anyway.

Does anyone know how to omit cells that are empty? I have 1 cell per line and want to suppress the line if the cell is empty to avoid a lot of white space in the report. I'm reasonably sure this can't be done at cell level, only section, but if anyone out there knows otherwise . . . .

The Business Objects documentation CD has information on it that will help you create the universe (it may even have a universe on it you can use, I can't remember if this is still there).

Can't you just check the 'Delete trailing blanks' option on the LOV query?
