    To Illogicallylogical, I copied the administrator profile to a new profile and that ended the problem. Thank you for your help. Sorry that this took so long, but I actually didn't get to fix the problem until very recently.

    I have cleared the cookies and temp files and I have tried restoring to default settings. I have not but will try the 'Use High Contrast' check. I will also try copying the users files to another user account.
