What's the least expensive option for setting up my front end server? Since I have the CD for 2003 Server should I just get another license? Is there a less expensive 2003 Server version that will work as a front end? Should I go with 2000 Server? Your help is much appreciated!

I don't think the problem is incompatability between Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2002, as we are running the two together and it works fine. We are, though, running Exchange 2003 on a Win2003 server. The problem might be in how you have SMTP configured.

When I try to restart the server it hangs on "Server is shutting down" screen. I eventually push the restart button (the longest I've waited is 30 minutes). After startup, the app log shows the following errors:
