    Outlook Spell Checker

Hello, When I use Outlook XP it sets the language to "English US" when composing and replying to messages. I need this to be in "English UK". I use Word for my e-mail editor, but the settings for the normal template are "English UK". Within Outlook (Tools, Options, Spelling) the language is set...

Then I created a share from within Computer Management on the new Windows Server 2003 machine. This share had the same name as the PC share, only it was accessible to Mac users...

Upgrade to 2003 - Now Macs can't access drives!

Hi, this is what i've been doing. I've tried the netbios name and the IP address - neither work. I believe it to be a problem with the server rather than the clients - they connected to the Windows 2000 server with no problems at all.

Upgrade to 2003 - Now Macs can't access drives!

Hello Sorry about the delay in replying, have had a small holiday. Enough excuses, these suggested solutions unfortunately don't work. I followed the Microsoft way and installed Mac file support. Then I installed the UAM tool downloaded from MS. This seemed to install well on the Macs. They are...

Hello, I have several users all using different versions of Windows and Office. Everyone is running from a POP dialup, with local PST files for their e-mails, calendars, etc. When someone on an Office XP machine sends a meeting request from Outlook to an Office 2000 user, the message arrives...

    Too much for one server?

I have a Compaq Proliant with only 1 Xeon processor and 768Mb RAM and it works very well. Extra RAM always helps but its the speed at which the disks run that is more important on a file store.

Migrating DNS and DHCP from W2K to 2003

Hello, Sorry for the reply in answering This did not entirely work on its own. I did need to install the DNS service from the 2003 CD and then it worked fine. Because I switched it to DNS on the old server, the new installation worked immediately, fully integrated. Many thanks for your help T

Hello I have recently installed a Windows 2003 Server along side my existing W2K server The files and folders are displayed as blue! Why is this? Is it something to do with the compression option I ticked when I formatted the drive? If so will this have an affect on my ability to use Volume...

Hello, DNS is not running on the new server. There's a DNS client, but no server. Should I install this? But how do I get it to communicate with the existing server? They will need to run parallel with each other for about a week before I turn the old one off. Thanks T

Hello, I have a Windows 2000 Active Dir server managing my whole domain. I recently bought a new server and installed Windows 2003 Server. Hello, Sorry, I must not have made it clear. I need a script that will reset my network adapter so that it collects the TCP/IP and DNS settings automatically. The script in my original posting above covers the TCP/IP part, but I need some additional code to get the card to obtain its DNS...
