    Print Properties Problem

I swear I get all the wierd ones! We have: 25 staff workstations all Win2K. We have a server running Win2k Advanced Server. We have a tektronix 850DP Thermal Wax printer connected directly to the network with its own IP. The print spooling is done at the server. The problem is this: All...

outgoing email incorrectly flagged as spam

Lander, Its too soon to know if your suggestion has fixed all my rejections, but it sure fixed it into my yahoo account. This will most likely kill my staff's desires to use html and "pretty" backgrounds! (I needed an excuse to reject that too!) :o)

outgoing email incorrectly flagged as spam

No. We are not being used as a relay. I had already thought of that and have been tested by one of the two main blacklist sites on the internet. It shows us as clean. I do use "pretty" html email. I will attempt a text only send and see if that makes a difference.

outgoing email incorrectly flagged as spam

We are using Exchange 2000. We get a lot of our outgoing email rejected by the recieving companies' "content filters" etc. When I email my own account at yahoo, the spam filter throws it into a "bulk email" folder. Does anyone know why this might be happening? What is it...

    Slow Internet Access over LAN

Here's a wierd one.. went on Christmas Break and all was fine (and for months previous). Got back from break, and now something is causing a nasty delay in our internet access. From the server, access is instant. Each page takes less than 1 second to display. This is how fast the LAN used to be...

    Invalid ADSI Path Name

Why do I get all the wierd ones? :o) We tried to add a new user to our server. The exchange mailbox is refusing mail. In the error logs we found a reference to the problem with a link to the internet. It said that we needed to "Force a rebuilding of the recipient update service." But...

No paging file or paging file too small...

Ok, here is a wierd one. I have a Windows 2000 Professional workstation giving me the "No paging file or paging file too small" error when any user logs in. I have already tried http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;242447&Product=win2000 and...

cant find e-mail with Sobig worm

I too am running Norton Corporate V7. I too have had to exclude exchange folders. However, with my NAV V7 came a disk set that reads: For Gateways and Firewalls. If you also have that CD, on it you will find NAV for Exchange. Install that puppy, it works great.

    sync system clock

Detroit, Since you asked: net time /setsntp:131.107.001.010

    sync system clock

I just figured this out myself! Go to the command prompt of the domain controller. Use the command: net time /setsntp:IPADDRESS replacing IPADDRESS with the address of a time server on the internet. I simply used dogpile to search for time servers and found a whole list. If you cant find one...

    W32 Time Synchronization at boot

I have managed to synchronize our DC and I have placed the net time /setsntp:IPADDRESS in the autoexec.bat file hoping that this will cause time synchronization at bootup. Is this a good way to go? Also, I want our workstations to sync to the DC at boot, but the system always asks for permission...

NAV for Microsoft Exchange Service does not start

Hit the Symantec site, and their knowledge base. It has articles on how to re-install NAV for Exchange and then how to re-start the service. I have gone through this and the articles were right on the mark. It will not work any other way.
