I've been thinking about buying a DV camcorder.
But my question is if it's worth the money. When I try to edit and capture a video from my hi-8 camcorder, I just have a such a hard time. But with all the software coming out, it looks like doing all that with a DV cam is so easy. So what are the...
I'm trying to capture the video from my VCR. I think I adjusted every setting properly, and when I capture it I can see the image and sound. But when I transfer it into the timeline and preview it, I can only hear the sound.
Any ideas???
I'm using Premier 6.0 and an All-In-Wonder video card...
After I've finished rendering, I still can't save it as a video file.
And when I try to render audio, nothing happens...
I'm using Adobe Premier 6.0.
Thanks,

I've scanned 2 pictures, and now I'm trying to put both images in the same picture, but as I copy and paste it, it turns black and white. What's wrong ???
Thanks!
Hi, it's me again!!!
So I finally got a hold of a TV. (Not for long though).
I tried to hook it up from PC to video to TV but I got no signal on the TV. However, when I connected directly from the PC to the TV it worked....
Any ideas ???
Thanks!!!
Well, what i was doing was changing the hookup going into the VCR to record, and afterwards, changing the hookup going into the computer, to see if it played...
Nothing...
No, I don't have a TV i can hookup to the computer right now....
Nothing works. I've tried so many times, but nothing works.
I'm hopeless....
I'm screwed!!!
I followed your instructions on the thread bellow on how to output to the VCR. I set the resolution, made the hookup, etc. What I couldn't do was set the display to TV in the settings tab. That's because that option is faded out. Now is it really necessary to have that option for the dumping to...
Alright, the set up was okay before..
but never mind, I figured out what was wrong.
Now I can only hear sound on 1 side of the speaker, but that's because my VCR is not HI-FI, and the sound input on ATI has left and right. Oh well, good enough I guess...
Let me see what else I'll have problem...
Sure!
Specially now that I have discovered why I wasn't able to capture with AIW. The problem was that composite video wasn't set to NTSC. Anyways, it's all fixed now. Except that although I hear the audio while capturing, the audio doesn't play when I play the video or open it on Premier.
So...
I captured it all with Adobe Premier.
Apparently, my AIW video card has trouble capturing from a composite source, producing very bad quality.
I'm not really ready to dump to tape yet. Right now I'm just making tests and playing around with the videos.
I'm capturing video from my VCR directly into Premier 6.0.
However, I'm not able to capture sound. Instead, I think the only sound it's capturing is from the mic.
I'm using an AIW video card.
Thanks.
