Msg appears even with no new messages

Msg appears even with no new messages
We have Norstar 7310 phones. One phone has the msg on screen even when there are no new messages. When I go to the voicemail it rings to another extension in the office. The last messages received at this phone were sent from another extension. I went in and deleted even the saved messages...- torajon
