If you type cdrom on the server it will load the NSS modules. Check your SCSI HBA Drivers, there are a few issues with the SCSI Drivers for SP2, well not really issues, some of them work differently. Try back-reving your driver to SP1.
I presonally wouldn't load SP3 there are about 6 Post SP3...

Poor performance accessing Microsoft Office documents on a Novell server. - TID10065560
If you search the Novell Website, one of the Service Packs did have a issue similar to yours.
To run NetWare6sp2 on 256MB RAM, is really pushing it. You change performance tune the server till you are blue in the face, but if you don't have the memory it won't work.
MORE MEMORY!!
I don't think you should have a problem. Just make sure the NetWare 6 server is not part of the same replica ring as the 4.11 server. We were running a mixed 4.11,5,5.1&6 enviroment and the biggest problem we experienced was the DSsync between the 5.x,6 and the 4.11 servers.
If you extend the...
Cost-savings
1. You will have a few servers with the software installed, not hundreds of PC's. So you will need less support-staff to support the software/Applications.
2. Smaller WAN/LAN Bandwith. If Citrix is configured properly you should be able to run a session on a 28.8 kb line at local...

Well I can run the PHP on either NetWare or Linux. The NetWare server uses 2000i sp4, so from what I read about the Linux requester it won't work on this version.
