Lost packets & poor voice quality...

The speeds and duplex are diffrent, one VOIP operates at 10mb because it's manufactured like that and the other operates at 10mb or 100mb because its auto negotiate. The Multi-Tech tech support said this shouldn't be a problem, but I'm going to try a switch on the auto negotiate VOIP to force it...

Lost packets & poor voice quality...

What I have is Multi-Tech VOIP’s that are between 2 of the locations. I’ll call them S1 (VOIP MVP-800) & S2 (VOIP MVP-210) which have different IP subnets. Between S1 & S2, which is about 150 miles, we have a Point to Point dedicated T-1 with Cisco 1721 routers. There's also other data running...

    Magix Networking Troubles no ringing...

It's set up as PRI. I think the problem has always been like this. This was the last job that the tech did before he left the company so he probably rushed through it. Thanks for the 2 trunk usage answer I just wasn't sure. I have lots of learning to do.... Jebb

I haven't called a Vendor because one site is VERY remote (3-4 hr car ride from major civilization). I know...

    I'm having ringing trouble with 2 M

I'm having ringing trouble with 2 Magix that are networked together. This is the first networked setup I've installed. The Magix are networked with 100DCD cards over a point to point T1. Magix A (UDP 500's) has 2 LS lines going into a Calling Group and the Merlin Messaging card setup with 2...

    networking 2 magix with 100DCD???

I'm using a pair of Transition Networks SSDTF1015-105 T1/E1 to Fiber Converters on a 24 mile singlemode duplex fiber. VERY small and simple to use, only a few DIP switches to set. I got them from a local electrical/comm supply house for under $1000 each. You just need to know the type of fiber...

    networking 2 magix with 100DCD???

I'm networking 2 merlin magix systems together over fiber using media converters (T-1 to F/O) so I can use the same messaging card. I'm all set with CO lines into both sites for 911 etc... and have the 100DCD cards at both sites. I haven't worked much with the 100DCD cards and I can't find any...
