carrr Thanks for the link. It seems that if you copy and paste special the picture as a JPEG then it compresses the picture for you in MS PP 2000. :-)

Hiya PowerPoint 2002+ gives you the option of compressing pictures within a PowerPoint presentation, but PowerPoint 2000 will not. Is there an add-in available to allow this function in 2000 without having to invest in a new copy of Office?
