I'm in the same boat. We had a meeting with Nice a few weeks ago and are meeting with eTalk tommorrow. I have heard good things about Witness when I worked for a Nortel distributor but I don't know if they are on our short list here. I'll let you know on who we decide to go with.
We are going to be doing this in Uniphi using a custom thick client agent desktop. The wrap codes will be part of a drop down list that can be modified by the system admin. Can't help you with the Contact Server but if you plan on moving toward Uniphi, it can be customized for what your looking for.
I just had a similar (if not the same) problem. I was testing a series of ports in prep for an upcoming move. I could not break DT on any of the vacant ports. Once I manually assigned the port to my test phone, they all seem to be working. My thanks to this forum and it's participants!
