'Unable to find any media that can use this job' ....eh???

I've found a workaround for my problem, if I manually move tapes from the save set back into the scratch set, everything runs ok, so its almost like something is wrong with the function that controls the GFS setup. Sean

"Unable to find media or blank media" ?????!!

David, You're right, I meant I was using * for the tape set in the media pool (GROUP 0) in this case. But I have had CA tell me to check my "r" files but not the asmedia, what are those? Thanks Sean

"Unable to find media or blank media" ?????!!

    Will fiber link increase performance?

I'm running AIT3 over 100MB, using a 64 bit PCI scsi card only running the tape drive. I get backup speeds closer to 180-220 MB per minute, but I think most of that is that the AIT3 drive is faster recording than LTO (it runs the tape over the head fewer times). I'm looking at switching all of...

Compatibility Arcserve v.9 for Windows and Groupwise

CA tech support told me that the GW agent for Netware only works if you are backing up to an Arcserve for Netware server (which I'm not, I use Win2K advanced). They suggested I try using the Open File Agent to back up my groupwise files, but everytime I try to back up my GW 5.5 server using the...

Compatibility Arcserve v.9 for Windows and Groupwise

Are you sure? I am running Windows 2000 Arcserve on a Netwar 5.0 GroupWise 5.5 server with the groupwise client agent and I'd be real pissed to find out that its never going to work (I'm trying to set it up right now). Concerned in columbus

BAOF config for 2000 AD - newbie question

If you're not using IPX you're probably fine and it'll run ok without it. It uses IPX to backup SAP data, but since you are running pure IP (which is good by the way, IPX is very chatty and slows down the network) you'll get the error message, but as long as you setup the configs for the nwagent...
