I need to migrate my 2003 VMware virtual DC and Exchange server to 2008 VMware virtual servers and was looking for some tips. I have seen using Robocopy or DFS. DFS looks like a pain, especially if I dont have a DFS Root server built. Any suggestions or past experience? Thanks

I am receiving this error whilt trying to backup the Information Store: One or more of the databases for this storage group are currently dismounted. All other backups work fine. For lack of equipment reasons, I also have BE 11d running on the Exchange server. Any thoughts?

Bill, Only problem (so far) is with IE. From the desktop icon or from Start>Programs. It just closes right after it starts to execute. This also happens with any .htm, .html file even while off line. I changed the home page but same results. It just bombs!! I will try your suggestions...

bcastner: I tried something else first...I changed the temp pagefile in the registry to 0 and also ran tht Intel Acclerator patch and it took care of the problem. Only I did both brfore rebooting so im not sure which did the trick and frankly at this point I dont care. Thankx for all the help...

bcastner, Unfortunately this is a home system and I dont have resource kit on it...plus the link is no good. What does this fix do by the way? It looks like it sets or changes the perms fos admin and system. thanks though vicbear13

I am having problems with Windows explorer crashing whenever I copy ,cut, move, or paste files in XP Pro with SP1. It is inconsistant and closes explorer after the error. Explorer can be reopened afterwards without any other errors or problems but it will crash again. Viruses not an issue...
