I've setup PS 7.5 Single User in NT Workstation. When I ran SQRW.exe, I received :
(SQR 14) The required environment variable SQRDIR has not been defined.
I tried to change the SQRDIR in pssqr.ini but no luck.
Any idea would be really appreciated.

Trim and remove all the special charaters (including spaces) in a CHAR(15) field so that it contains only characters like A-Z and 0-9. For example:
' AB 123-456' converts to 'AB123456'

I've created a macro in a report and perform the following:
- Refresh the dataprovider
- use 'Call ConvertTo' function to export the data to Excel and then save it to a local directory in the reporting server (eg. c:\rptxls\mydata.xls).
I submitted the above report thru Broadcast...
Has anyone tried to backup/restore the reporting repository before? Is this just a matter of copying all the BO tables in the database?
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Did you use the copy of universe in development and Import to production? Just migrate the report to production
without the universe will create 'obsolete objects'. You need to migrate the universe as well.

What is the 'Best' mode when converting to PDF using Distiller in order to obtain the smallest file size? The PDF file that I'm created conatined charts and words plus a very small jpeg file.

I've a complex view that use some LEFT OUTER JOINs and then the view is being used again and create another view using some RIGHT OUTER JOINs. The final view is working fine (slow but at least it runs) until we upgraded DB2 from 5 to 6. Whenever the view was dropped and recreate again in V6...
I've setup an Infoview (WebIntelligence) for users to view their reports in PDF format. When the file is getting too big (eg. 3MB), the document cannot be downloaded to their workstation. Is there any way to resolve this problem?
