    From what I've read... it's best to reinstall your system. Sorry. BTW Iomega caused me to have to do that due to their misinformation on their website! Apparently "10.2 and higher" does not include 10.2.6 , when you buy the 750 ATI Zip.

    Whenever I was able to see fonts in their own typeface, it was something in the font management system that needed to be enabled. Ex. in the old symantec Suitcase you needed to enable WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)

    I appreciate all the suggestions, really I do, but the problem was never in 4.0 version, that works fine. It was in the upgrade to 5.0 that it didn't work. In version 6.0 it's back and working fine, but we will have some users here where I work that can't upgrade to 6 until they have a computer...

    Well, the \p doesn't work in Quark 5.0 BUT yesterday afternoon our 6.0 versions came in and now I'm able to delete the manual returns with the find/change. (I still would like to know if or how it could be done in 5.0, for the machines that can't upgrade to 6.)

    Force Quark to look to local folder for images

    Try unmounting your network drive, then the pictures should come up as missing in the usage, then you can re-direct them to where you want them to link up. I don't know if you work over the network or not, if you do, you may have to copy the quark file and pictures to your desktop, then unmount...

    You're right that it does work in Quark 4, but when I upgraded to 5.0 I couldn't do that anymore. (Which is really ticking me off, because it takes a lot longer to do it manually.)

    Find/change for 5.0

    Has anyone heard of an extension or something for the find/change option in Quark 5.0. I have to pull in a lot of text files that have manual returns in them after every line. Since using quark 5.0 I can't put the return symbol into the find/change dialogue box to eliminate them.

    In defense of Quark, the step and repeat command was used by them long before OS X ever came out and screwed it up. It's been a year using OS X now and I still can't stop myself from using the shortcut !
