Hi Rich,Thanks for the reply,This model laptop has no floppy drive and does not boot from cd rom? So i removed the hdd and installed into another laptop to reformat and install os again, the drive works fine in this machine, then put back in thinkpad thinking everything ok but no go,only can get...- comstek

IBM thinkpad boot problem
Hi, I have a ibm thinkpad 760xd laptop that has just had the hard drive reformated,but now when i power up it is displaying a disk I/O error and asking me to insert disk and press any key which is as far as i get,can anyone advise? Thanks.- comstek
