...and one more thing...I overlooked the "can u study on ur own and pass it in a month". Possible to study on ur own, but a month that too when u are new to this...NO WAY. It requires 3 months self study w/o practical experience assuming u are pretty bright.

1) books (ICND:cisco press, Todd Lammel:study guide)
2) a sim (very imp if u are not getting practical exp)
3) practice tests (More than half the battel is won here)
4) lots of self studies

yes we are talking abt the same exam. And I gave it on 6th august this month (640-607) so you have to say that is pretty recent. I dont know wether ur instructor says that there will be no ipx in the upgraded exam aftger 30 sept or he said there will be no ipx in the exams befoer that...

Dont even utter the word CCNA if you have a prob with subnetting and dont sit for the exam on the half chance of pasing when u are weak at subnetting, becoz subnetting is the one topic you can safely score 100% on...
