I am trying to configure dot1x with a guest vlan on a cat6506e running IOS 12.2sx. I can't find the command to enable it. I checked cisco site and they had command for 4500 (dot1x guest-vlan) but not with 6500. Also I see the guest vlan config on 6500 CATos but cant find it on IOS. DO you think...

cisco wireless access point security question

like the others said I would make sure the guest VLAN is a layer 2 VLAN only and drop it off in the DMZ or outside to the Internet. You do not want the guests to even have a prompt for username and password for you corporate because then they are essentially on routed on your network just don't...

Like I said before it seems to fix all of our issues, its just that our VP doesn't want to be totaly in bed with Cisco which I can understand.. Thanks for the link I will check it out now... I have read some stuff...

    Password Expiration/logon scripts

I saw there was a thread and it answered a few questions I had but I have a few more for the experts. My company is about to deploy Cisco wireless. The deployment of the controllers and access points is no problem. The problems or questions I have is with the clients. What clients are people...

router shows connected, but can't connect to internet

We have a similar connection here and it works fine. We have Internet ---> Cisco router ----> multiple Linksys routers and by using the default config on the linksys we can reach the Internet. The only thing we changed was we added the IP address & DNS manually to the WAN interface. Make sure...

    VPN Wag54g to RV-082

Are both local networks 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 networks? If so they need to be different. When you say remote security group is host you mean the lan subnet of the rv082 and the remote security gateway is the wan address of the rv082? Also double check to make sure your preshared key is the...

Can't access network printer from new computers.

To help you better can you answer these quick questions.. What operating system are you using? Also can you do the basic tests to the printers like ping? How are they networked? Do you create a port on each computer or are the printers shared on a server?

router shows connected, but can't connect to internet

You should not need RIP at all. I am guessing that by your email your connection looks like Internet --> ADSL Router --> Linksys router? If this is true the Linksys is using PAT so you should not have to worry about RIP. If you configured your outside(WAN) interface on your RV082 manually on...
