I'm doing the same, in reverse, and there are no official documents. The file formats are different between the two systems and the only supported method is using Veritas consulting.

We're also moving our master from windows to unix (aix) BUT for the migration to be supported from Veritas you must hire their consulting services to migrate the catalog info from one platform to the other.

If you install the java gui from the windows cd to a workstation and log into the master one of the column choices is to see the file currently being backed up. OR after the backup finishes you can use the restore window to view details of the file with the backup time. Neither one of this is...

I've ps -ef |grep ssh and killed the pid then executed the daemon with the path from the ps command. It may not be the most graceful way but it always works.
