Hi
Burt
At our head office we have two internet connections. One, and ADSL max which carries all of the orgainisational browsing traffic and 6 VPN connections. The remote sites use either BT or System online as ISP.
The other connection at our Head Office is the 2MB SDSL connection provided...
Our existing ADSL internet connection is with an ISP called System Online, originally in partnership with BT I think, at our Head Office.
We have quite happily connected VPN routers at two remote sites using System Online as an ISP too. Additionally we have two other remote sites on BT...
Hi Burt
I got the diagram slightly wrong, but I think I get the jist.
The office network is 192.168.1.0 and the internal ip of the watchguard is 192.168.1.1. The external ip is currently x.x.x.42/29.
What I think you are suggesting is:-
Turn off the NAT on the watchguard, change it's...
The external interface x.x.x.41/29 on the watchguard is patched into fe0 interface on the 857.
The 857 external interface is then patched onto the adsl microfilter.

We currently connect to the internet using a draytek 2600 router and its starting to become quite unreliable. I am not entirely sure how it is currently configured as our ISP password protects the router.
I am off on my hols in a week or so and have purchased a Cisco 857 adsl router which I...

Anyone know what the hell is going wrong here? It can be overcome by setting the bengine.exe service to...
Or the fact that it takes at least 10 times as long to start, even on my brand new dual core vPro desktop, and upto 30 seconds on my poor users PC which is a little long in the tooth!
I appreciate your feelings regarding the increased security with the 6.0 Client but my userbase isn't...
Thanks for your help and ideas guys.
A reversion to the 5.2 client seems to clear the problem and gives back all the functinality required.
The RDP 6 client is a complete dog and should be avoided if at all possible!

What has happened to the ability to edit the user credentials on the latest MS RDP client? Last week I painstakingly drafted instructions for a user as to how to change the details in the Logon settings section of the Client. She said she didn't have any access to these settings, I scratched my...
Solved it by restarting the firewall service on the PC! But it complained about having incorrect class and permissions and kept stopping, see kb892199.
Thanks for your help.
Hi
Something a little odd has happened to our network. We are running Windows Server 2003, with DHCP, DNS and WINS but several of the XP clients can no longer be browsed and neither can the shared remote printers which are attached to them, but they can print locally. The PC's appear on the...
