We recently upgraded our GroupWise server from GroupWise 5.5 Sp4/NetWare
4.11 Sp9 to GroupWise 6.5 sp1b/NetWare 6 Sp3. The GroupWise server also
has an Adaptec 2100S RAID controller, performing RAID1 on the two drives

In Regards to Gee-Whiz, in attempting to get it to work on my NetWork NW 4.11 SP9, GW 5.5 SP4, McAfee NetShield 4.61, I got nothing but about 15 seconds of run-time before Gee-Whiz would freeze up on me, even when only actually working on three or four accounts. I got no help from Gee-Whiz...

Hi,
The best thing to do, if you can't find anything about your issue on novell's knowledgebase, is to update to the latest support pack for your OS. Even if it doesn't fix your problem, if you have to call Novell, the first thing they tell you is to apply the latest support pack.
hope that...

you've got the right patch, though if You don't find the msblast.exe running in your registry, look and see if you have either of the variants listed on this site
http://security.msu.edu/cgi-bin/index.pl?dcom.html
It has turned out to be an explotation of microsoft's RPC DCOM security flaw, if you're un aware of it, you can get information about the patch here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp

I've had problems like this before also, the things I've tried that have made everything work are:
delete the c:\wutemp directory
clear the Temporary Internet Files
Set your I.E. security settings to as low as possible (you can set them back afterwards)
that's made it work for me in the past

are you using zenworks 3 (I'm pretty sure it's on three, if not, it is for sure on 3.2) or later? if you are you can setup a Dynamic Local User Policy which will create a local user account on any nt/2k/xp machine when NDS authenticates a user. You can configure it so that it deletes the local...
thanks, I totally forgot about the options in the job manager as opposed to the NetWare Client, I ended up calling them (veritas) and I guess if you run a bediag at the server prompt, it will create a bediag.fax file in the bkupexec directory, and the serial no will be at the top of that file...

(if in XP/2k, then right click on local area connection and go to properties)
click on Novell NetWare...
