Hmm... after reading this again, I'm thinking that you might be better off with an ASP solution; rather than a site search. A Site search is only going to pull up links to pages that match the search criteria. A database result or ASP script sounds like it would be a better option. For...
You might want to check out the FrontLook Site Search Addin for FrontPage. It's really easy to use and very easy to customize, as well as configure as far as what pages to show in search results. I use it on my sites and have a link to it on my www.at-frontpage.com site on the homepage; right...
Does it prompt you for a username and password? And it doesn't accept your login info as admisitrator rights?
I usually create a new subweb this way:
right click in the folder list at the top of the list and create new folder. Give that folder the name you want for the subweb. Right click on...
You need to have the FP server extensions installed on the remote server this is being hosted on & Index Server. Heres a KB article on configuring search to use Index Server:

You might also try publishing to 'http:/members.tripod.com/username/'

Assuming that you are NOT using the FP database results region, rather custom ASP scripts - I think you might get better help in a ASP or VBscript forum. It doesn't look to me that the problem you are having has anything to do with FP necessarily.
I'm not saying this is posted in the wrong...
Assuming this is a FP hit counter, you should be able to right click on the counter and select FrontPage Component Properties from the menu. In the dialog box, check the option to "Reset Counter to" - enter the number (500) and click the OK button. Save the page and publish it, but remember -...
This is one of the main reasons that you should have a back up copy of your web, because whenever the server extensions are reinstalled the shared borders and navigation data is wiped out. You would need to publish from the backup copy to restore this data for your web. I do not think that...
I really don't know on that one. Perhaps you could start another thread regarding configuring SMTP info on an intranet. I don't know much about exchange server and not sure what the SMTP info would be for your set up.

First, if your host has the FP server extensions installed your should NOT use FTP - you should use the FrontPage Publish feature, which uses HTTP - not FTP. FTP will corrupt your server extensions. If you have no use for any of the FP features that require the server extensions, like forms...
You probably need to configure the server extensions with the SMTP information, so that the form results can be sent by email. Here are instructions on how to configure the SMTP info with FP 2002 server extensions (I'm assuming that you have admin rights for the intranet server extensions)...
OK, so it isn't a conflict with ASP. Do you have the form set to send results to an email address maybe? If so, do you have this form on a server with FP 2002 server extensions? It may be that you haven't configured the SMTP information on the FP server extensions. If that is the case and...
This error usually occurs when a FP form is saved with a .asp extension or has ASP coding on it - is that true for your form?

That should be the correct place to make the change. When you finish making the changes in the theme editor, are you saving the theme - or saving the theme to a different name?

Can you explain what you mean specifically by "3 of things on the index page"?
Did you do a true "import"? With FrontPage webs you should "publish", not import - but you can also open a web with any version of FP - no need to copy it to open or edit with a different version of FP.

Do you have a webpage that is using this theme published on the internet so we could take a look?

I don't know of a way to do this, other than putting the file in a .zip file and linking to the .zip file.
Sorry - not much help on that.

It's hard for me to tell without being able to get in there. Is the database stored in the /fpdb folder? If not, check the permissions on the folder holding the database in FP & let us know.

I believe that you have to have the Index server installed and running. Maybe check this article I found on MS site and see if this helps get your search working on your local machine:
