I have a Quantum 2.1 GB HDD. There are some bad sectors on the HDD. While I am formatting the HDD, I get a message saying trying to recover lost allocation units after about 40% of the formatting is complete.
Is there a way to remove / kill the bad sectors??
If not is there a way to atleast...
Generally when we right click on a web page and click view source, we can see the entire HTML page.
Is there a way by which displaying the HTML page can be avoided?
If yes where is available and is it free?
If somebody can provide a URL to download from.
Thanks
MOre than likely it is some wrong jumper setting on the motherboard. Cross check the jumper settings on motherboard with those specified in the manual.
Atleast this solution resolved the problem when I faced it.
All the best
I believe your Mother Board has a jumper which is set to work at 66 Mhz FSB. If you can refer the technical manual of the mother board & locate a jumper which sets the FSB to 100 Mhz, I believe you will resolve your problem.
If I connect my HDD as primary master and CD-ROM as secondary slave, it gives the following error:
"PRIMAR IDE CHANNEL NO 80 CONDUCTOR CABLE CONNECTED"
