ok..if you did a fresh install of xp.and have norton...u need the new definitions..and win patch...for xp....there are several viruses that has not been caught by norton..the blaster worm is one... u can find it in the task processes...if so..u need to go to norton.com and download the tools for...
i agree with cindy & wolluf..u alway disconnect everything to the basics u can also remove the battery to reset the bios for 10 minutes ....as cindy said video, mouse, keyboard (u are looking for beep codes)...if that passes & boots reconnect the memory one piece at a time....if that...

Can i assume you have a new hd and if so ..instead of symantic ghosting......make your original hd the master with slave present or just master & new hd the slave...make sure the jumper settings are correct. if u have the disc that came with the new hd..boot to that disk and it will...

Edemier thank you for responding so quickly, you have been very informative about DDO's. As for the problem the os was there when I finished..how is it we are able to see the partitions but not the os...do you think tech may have erased the os by mistake..
