You have to register you e-mail server's hostname (and IP)with your service provider. You also have to register it as a MX record. It takes about 8 hours before other servers update their respective information.
After that you insert into SMTP...

Have you checked that you have right fully qualified domain name inserted. Your server identifies itself by it and other check that domain name and IP Address are "compatible".
Some application or disk corruption has deleted the partition from the disk. It that is the case, then there are applications that can restore broken partitions.
If you do not have critical data on this disk, I recommend to create new partition in XP SystemManager/Disk Manager and format it...
I remember that in the old days SCSI disks had to be low level formatted before they could be taken into use (partitions created). Nowadays low level formatting is done in the factory, but you never know...
