How do i find out which driver etc tho. Its very confusing, I have reformatted many times and the same error occurs but at various times, never after installing a certain driver. The most recent time it occured was after installing direct x 9 drivers.
tried using just one memory stick, tired using 512 on its own aswell as 256 but the stop screen still appears.
Im still thinking that there are serious problems with my harddrive possibly.
Any ideas ?
My system: AMD Athlon xp2200+, xp pro, 512 + 256 DDR RAM pc333mhz, KT400 AGP8* mobo, 80gb Wetern digital 8MB cache hard drive.

Ok I have done a check disk in DOS and it found errors on my harddrive. I hope that the whole hard drive isn't corrupt or doesnt have any physical damage, reformating will be no use as I have done it so many times alrdy but it hasn't really ever helped.
Thanks edemiere (MIS), but I am only using two DDR ram sticks ne ways so even if it was 400 it shudnt matter right .. i have one 256 DDR Ram & one 512 DDR Ram stick both are pc2700 333mhz
