Jnalpak,
IMHO, I'd say the proper ratio depends heavily on the
workload of the printer(s). We have over 500 employees
and have an average employee/printer ratio of about 6:1
for our network printers. Some employees have "slave"
printers connected directly to their pc's. We use all
HP products...
Things like this don't really happen in life, do they??
The world is all peachy-keen,sunshine and lollipops, isn't
it??? ;) (ROFLMAO). After spending 24+ years in state
government service, the old addage " CYA " has never been
MORE important.
Hope those buggers get what they deserve!
Bill...
KenCunningham,
AMEN !!
(p.s. we NOW have one of the most comprehensive backup
programs of any IT office in our state. We back up BEFORE
we run production jobs and AFTER (8mm tapes are CHEAP
insurance.))
Bill
In my early years as a beginning computer operator for a
large state agency (not mentioning the state, of course),
I was cleaning out old, sometimes empty files/directories on
a PR1ME minicomputer that just happened to be our principal
production machine. One thing you have to know about PRIMOS...
GrnEyedLdy,
My apologies if I'm restating the obvious, but do you have
system restore disabled ( assuming you're running XP ) ?
If not, on the next reboot the infected files will be
reinstalled.
Good Luck.
Let me say first that I have NO stake in this company and receive NOTHING in return. That being said, Durkpiet, try
going to www.printerworks.com and search their database. They have a good supply of exploded parts diagrams, parts lists, etc. ( got MY fanny out of a jam
on more than one occasion...
Mich,
This may/may not help, but have a look at this site:
http://www.printerworks.com/index.html
