We have Lotus Notes set up as and Internet Client. We are able to send email to all Internet accounts except to accounts on our own ISP mail server. The following Delivery Failure Report comes back from Lotus:

I have a customer who is setup to send and receive mail thru the Internet. Most of the clients are working fine. They are set up for auto replication, with the mail being deleted off the ISP mail server at the time of replicaiton. 3 clients are getting: replicator error, POP3 protocol error...
You need to edit your POP (mail in) account. There is a tab called "Protocol Configuration". Click on that and change the "Leave mail on server" to No. This will delete the mail off your Internet mail server when it is replicated. When this is set to Yes, the mail remains on...
