It's aparently possible to copy the config folder in the program files directory from the old to the new.
I'm trying this at the moment and its not playing ball though, services won't restart after the copy.
Anyone got any advice?
which was why i was asking the question...
Solution:
found a file called kcopts.dat in a fairly random directory (found by searching for files by date and matching the install date) it is openable in notepad and contains the relevant info (how and who the keylogs are being sent to)
Has anyone come across keycaptor before?
This program has appeared on a few machines across our network. I understand that the program has the ability to send emails to a person specified in the installation.
We need to find out who has been doing this, therefore need to somehow pluck the email...
Has anyone come across this in the event log before?:
"MCSCAN32 Engine Initialisation failed. Engine returned error : The DAT files failed or are missing."
The machine is a W2K sever running VS7.1, configured using epo 2.5.
VirusScan will run fine until the autoupdate happens. After it does...
I've just tested this using the available engine package for auotupdate architect.
Autoupdate finds the new engine and installs it without trouble.
It must be possible to configure 2 different update sites with different engine versions to selectively update diffrent machines using epo 2.5 and...
I run the same setup
Although i've not tested this, I'm sure that when the update task checks for a new engine, it will install it if there is a new version.
The downside of using epo 2.5 with VirusScan 7 seems to be that this is not something which can be configured. Using epo 3 its possible...
I've been set a task by our network manager, and with the meagre help tools i have i can't even work out if it's possible.
The goal is this - If a machine on the network recieves a virus, an alert is sent out via email to one of the administrators with details e.g. what virus is doing the...

in there there is a report.ini file. If you look in that file, the [DATDeploymentSummary.rpt] section will be missing. I...
One of the reports for coverage on our EPO server has stopped generating results. Irritatingly it's the most useful one - DAT/Definition deployment summary.
It knows about the lastest definitions, but the pie chart comes up as just a blue circle. There is no text data beneath it, just a single...
