you can use the command sjimm to tell the robotic arm to move from one location to another.
sjirdtag may also be helpful to show which location contains the media.

I have 16 drives (DLT & SDLT) DDS shared by 6 clients, giving 96 virtual tapes. Reading the daemon.log file was pretty difficult, so I wrote a script to 'draw a picture' in html of 'what happened last night'.
This saved me a heck of a lot of time manually parsing...

My set-up was in Digital UNIX with DLTs connected to a SAN via SCSI/Fibre routers.
Tapes were being marked as full with very little actual data on them.
It turned out to be the Fibre card drivers on the server. Once these were updated the problem...
