When opening an Access database using the Runtime version, users are not able to see the database window. You must make a Switchboard for them to access the various forms, queries, reports. You will find it under Tools|Database Utilities|Switchboard Manager

Thanks Dreamboat, but the solution you offered is actually the reverse of what I need. I want to open the document by starting the Word application from a hyperlink in my Webpage. I do not want the document to open up within the Webpage itself. Any ideas?
