Default zoom in report preview - CR XI

I'm using Crystal Reports XI. Having just acquired a nice widescreen monitor, I was just wondering whether it's possible to change the default preview zoom to 150%. I know that you can specify a report to open 'Full size' (i.e. 100%), 'Fit width' or 'Fit Page', but is there anything you can do...

    c:\windows\debug is corrupt

Joey Many thanks for your post. I scheduled a CHKDSK and this seems to have solved the problem. I guess the moral of the story is to replace the clapped out USP!

    c:\windows\debug is corrupt

Not sure if this is the best forum for this query, so please forgive if not (and perhaps point me to the most appropriate one!). We sufferred a power cut which powered down our SBS 2003 server. When the power returned there were numerous Debug error messages and I was unable to logon. As...

AVG 9 on SBS 2003 with Windows XP

Thanks for the post - and there's nothing wrong with suggesting the bleedin' obvious! Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees. And it would be great if this was the case but no, it's the Email Server Edition of AVG 9.0. If I remove AVG from a PC and install something else, e.g. Avast or...

AVG 9 on SBS 2003 with Windows XP

Thanks for the post. I don't think that scanning is the problem. We've had running on both server and PCs for several years without any performance issues until we upgraded to AVG 9. Since then boot times and program load times have gone through the roof.

AVG 9 on SBS 2003 with Windows XP

A couple of months ago we upgraded our AVG software from 8.5 to 9, including the email scanner on the server. Ever since then most of our PCs (all XP SP3) have become very slow (20+ minutes) at booting and loading Outlook. At various times during the day access to network resources is severly...

    HP Compaq nx6325 won't boot

I think you may be right about the motherboard. Took the keyboard off and found the CMOS battery housing was broken, but even securing the battery in place made no difference. Time for a new laptop I think. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

    HP Compaq nx6325 won't boot

Thanks for the suggestion, but still left with the power and mute buttons lit, the fan on, but nothing else.

    HP Compaq nx6325 won't boot

Thanks for the reply. It appears to act exactly the same whether on battery power or AC. The power light stays on, as well as the mute button. The Caps and Number Locks come on momentarily, as does the hard drive light. But that's it.

    HP Compaq nx6325 won't boot

My nx6325 was working perfectly well until yesterday evening. When I pressed the power button the usual lights came on (Caps Lock, Number Pad, hard drive) but then they all go off (1 or 2 seconds), the mute light comes on and then nothing. The fan is working, but there are no beeps. I have...

    Disappearing Jobs

Just to update this thread. In the end I had to completely uninstall BE and then re-install it. The program is now working (at least it is so far!). Thanks to those of you who gave me suggestions to try out.

    Disappearing Jobs

Thanks for the post. I don't think it's a filter. I can't see any checked/unchecked options that affect the viewing of the jobs. For example, Show Scheduled Jobs is checked but they are not visible.

    Disappearing Jobs

James Thanks for that. I'll give your suggestion a go and then, if no joy, I'll re-install. Regards John

    Disappearing Jobs

Thanks for the post. All services are running, and my scheduled jobs run - I just can't see them! This means that I cannot amend them in anyway, and I've added two new jobs, thinking the old ones had vanished, and they also run (and are also invisible!) so I have two jobs running at the same...

    Disappearing Jobs

BE 9 doesn't have this option. As far as I can tell all filters are clear, i.e. all jobs should be visible.

Problem using Word as email editor in Outlook 2003

Sorry for the delay in responding to your suggestion. I tried renaming the email.dot file, but still not able to use Word as the email editor. Any other thoughts/suggestions? Many thanks

    Disappearing Jobs

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean the filters in the Task Pane? They are all checked so that I should be seeing both Active and Schedules jobs. All I can see is the Job History under Job Monitor (Current Jobs is blank) and Backup Selection lists under Job Setup (Jobs and Backup Jobs Templates...

    Disappearing Jobs

I have been using Backup Exec 9 for several years. This week my Jobs have 'disappeared'. They no longer appear under Job Setup or Monitor - but they do run. However this means I cannot monitor the schedule or adjust their properties. I've tried restarting the services and have rebooted the...

Problem using Word as email editor in Outlook 2003

Thanks for the responses. They are both 2003. I have tried Detect and Repair (of Outlook) but it didn't solve the problem.

Problem using Word as email editor in Outlook 2003

I have an XP Pro (SP3) PC with Office 2003. When I try and tell Outlook to use Word as its email editor I get the message "Microsoft Word is set to be your e-mail editor. However, Word is unavailable, not installed, or is not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook e-mail editor will be used...
