Thanks for all your replies. Obviously, my memory is completely at fault. I must have been getting confused with the date input masks you can put in access databases.
Thanks again.
I'm having problems inputting dates to my excel spreadsheet. I'm pretty sure ( but am starting to doubt my memory) that, in the past, I've been able to format cells in my spreadsheets as short dates which meant I could input 010101 and the cell then showed the date as 01/01/01 without me having...
Thanks for the reply. It stopped working a couple of weeks ago, and I've been trying to make it work ever since. It worked fine before that, and another laptop in the house still works perfectly on the network. The connection is through a wireless router. I didn't make any deliberate changes...
I am unable to open any web site on my laptop as internet explorer doesn't open fully, even though my internet connection shows as being good or very good. I get told that the page cannot be displayed, whichever page I try to open. I've tried changing different settings in network connections...
On my website I have a map, which I would like to have several hotspots on. Rather than link these hotspots to other webpages, I would like a description of the area to show as text when the user hovers over each area. Like picture descriptions show when you hover over pictures. Is there any...
Unless I am using it incorrectly, documenter doesn't give a list of all the queries, forms etc that a table is linked to. Object dependencies seem to be the only way to get the list I'm after.
I would like a list of all the queries, forms, reports, macros, modules and relationships attached to one particular table. I've been asked by my users to combine the data on two tables and to convert all the existing queries, etc to make sure they all work after the change. So I want a...
I think I am after a stacked and clustered column.I want to have five different types of users on the x axis, and the number of users on the y axis. Each user type on the x axis would then be clustered in 4 columns, one for each year quarter. And then each column stacked to show existing users...
I have searched, but all I found were postings on stacked columns side by side, which isn't really what I want. But I'll have another search to see if i can find anything else.
I am trying to create a chart in excel with an x axis made up of user types and the y axis of numbers of users, with the last years figures broken down as four quarters in columns for each user type. I would like to be able to breakdown the user types in to existing users and new users over...
Sorry I've taken a while to respond, but I got caught up with other problems at work. The result I am trying to achieve is a list of object dependencies I can sort or work with which I can save in word or excel or some other package. However, when I tried using the screen dump I couldn't find...
I use access 2003, and need to print off the list of objects that depend on a table in my database. I can get the list to appear on screen, but cannot find any way of printing it. Can anyone let me know how to do it, if it is possible?
Thank you.
I've solved it by deleting the pages from the navigation bar, closing frontpage down, reopening it, then putting the pages back on the bar. Don't understand why they were lost in the first place, but it now works.
I have a basic navigation bar along the top of each page on my site showing links to half a dozen main pages such as search, whats new, feedback etc. Two of the links do not show on their buttons, although the links themselves show as being present when I roll the mouse over them. I've looked...
I am running access 2000 and when I create a command button with the toolbox wizard on, then the code is created for me.
In access 2000 you shouldn't need anything in the before update on the form itself. The wizard should let you position the button where you want it, then give you the choice...
You need to have a command button on the form which runs a query with
[Forms]![F_name of form]![name of text field]
as the query parameter.
To run the form, you fill the text into the unbound text box, click the command button you created and the text you typed in is picked up via the...
That seems to have solved the problem. I had to move various fields which were required input to be filled in before the membership_type field, but now it works exactly as I wanted. Thank you very much.
