I need to chamge the IP address of the DEC server
I have a VMS 5.5. I did $ set def sys$manager

Bob,
Thanks for responding, I tried the VNC method, I just can't get it to work. I enabled the vnc service where the Xvnc is running. Then I installed tightvnc on my pc and attempted to run my hostname:5901 and it always says failed to connect to server. I am not sure what I am doing wrong...
Would like to connect to my Linux Box (redhat) via my windows PC. Remote Desktop would be nice, I have PC anywhere 11.5 says Linux on it but not sure how to install it, and tried VNC but cant get that to work properly.
Any advice?
I have a huge task ahead of me, and I was just wondering if anyone can help with any leads.
Here goes... We have a Risc/6000 server with AIX 4.3.3 which we will be migrating over to our new RedHat Linux Servers.
One of my tasks is to take all the user names and move them to the new server but...
awk 'BEGIN {srand();printf(%d\n,srand())}'
Syntax Error The source line is 1.
The error context is
BEGIN >>> {srand();printf(% <<< d\n,srand())}
awk: 0602-502 The statement cannot be correctly parsed. The source line is 1.
No i don;t have Perl installed. Is this the best view?
root time_last_login=1103920550
and some user accounts dont have have anything next to it, does it mean never logged in? Is there a way I can see accounts that have logged in the past month or have not?
Hello everyone,
Question: I am using AIX 4.3 and I need a listing of all the user accounts that successfully logged in in the past 30 days. Does anyone know the command?
Please help.
thanks in advance
Aaron
Any idea on how I can have an auto password reset activated after say 30 days or so. I dont want to do it one by one. Is there way I can have it done to all users.
Thanks in advance
Aaron
You have to chmod 755 SAMBA-2.0.7.0.exe (I decided to download an older samba file and it worked).
then type;
# ./SAMBA-2.0.7.0.exe
# inutoc
# smitty install
good luck.
There is alot of literature out there.
