Thanks Jay - I didn't even think of that (never used it before)! I now have a new problem. Using EE 5-1A with all the latest SP's installed (as far as I know), I am able to create the UI profile, remove the relevant check box from the form and assign the UI profile to a user. Upon testing I...
The setup:
Accpac Enterprise 5.1A (Pervasive)
Windows 2000 server SP2
Terminal Services
Dual P4 Xeon 2.4GHz CPUs
1GB RAM
80GB SCSI disk
Initially all was going very well, however, the number of users has grown to such an extent that performance is starting to deteriorate.
My question:

In my experience this type of thing is resolved by 1. cleaning the drive and 2. stopping and restarting all BackupExec services. We've found that a bum tape can also cause it. Hope it helps.
Oopsagain,
I have, in the meantime, struggled through the installation myself and have been able to get everything working. One of the things I learnt was that the Crystal DLL's need to be in the correct place - copy the contents of the c:\WinNT\Crystal folder to "c:\Documents and...
The setup:
1. W2000 server, SP2 with Terminal Services.
2. Accpac Enterprise 5.1A, all latest SP's loaded.
Everything running smoothly (at last!), meaning all the relevant folder permissions have been set correctly. We still have only the following problem.
The reports involved:
1. A/R...
I am setting up a W2000 server with 2 NICs. There are two physically separate subnets. I would like workstations on one subnet to be able to "see" workstations on the other subnet. I have read so many articles and FAQ's on the subject but I don't seem to be getting anywhere. Can...
Did it work before you changed it? The result you're getting sounds similar to what you get on a W2000 machine when the Crystal DLL's are not in the logged-on user's profile. This can be fixed by copying the \Winnt\Crystal folder to \Documents and settings\#user#\Windows.
Hope this helps.
I'm still new to all this, but as far as I know you need to grant all Accpac users full access rights to the folders (both for the program and the data) they use on the server.
We are about to set up Accpac Enterprise Edition 5.1A on a new server with access via Terminal Services.
Can anyone give us any useful tips on setting up just to lessen the pain?
