I've already tried your kind sugesstion, did not work. After running the system erase utility from the floppy I am getting the confirmation messgae that every thing was wiped out but I get stuck on the same point, trying to run SCU.
The box is uni-processor. I've created the bootable SCU floppies but got the same result ....the machine has frozen when trying to load the *.cfg files from the second floppy.
I've tried SmartStart V 4.20, 4.60, 5.40, 5.50, none of the worked! The BIOS is upgraded to the latest version. SmartStart gets stuck when it tries to load SCU (from the SmartStart disk, I suppose). Could it be a problem with the NVRAM?
