This only happens SOMETIMES, but it still forces me to restart the hard way.

Well yeah I do have an 82371EB chipset. But that wasn't the problem. It was somewhere with the controller reinstalltion. Anyways I took the cable out of the Ultra66 and back into the m/b. Now both CDROM drives function great, except for one problem. How can I switch the drive letters around?
I bought the machine from gateway. The devices were connected as follows: CDROM WAS in the m/b. Hd IS in an Ultra66. Now they are both in the Ultra66. I will look at the motherboard for the chip. Posting back soon.
