    Thanks .. But i have done ALL of the above. Yes it will run on COM2 or 3.. Again.. I have tried this with 2 fifferent modems .. same problem. One on the otherboard, one USB. I am going onsite in the morning to install Xp in fresh into a temp folder.. see if it is still a problem.

    Make sure you have "netbios over tcpip" enabled on ALL systems.

    You must ensure "Netbios over tcip/ip" is enabled on all machines. This should fix any issues with Xp / 98 / 95 machines seeing each other when only using tcpip protocol.
