Yes. Simply click in cell B1. Then choose Freeze Panes from the Window menu. This will lock the A column and allow you to scroll to the right. If you wanted to lock the A column and Row 1 and scroll the screen up and to the right, you would click in cell B2 before Freezing Panes.
