Hello,
I have an AIX server with its disks setup as powerpath devices, I am getting an error in the error log which points to a certain hdisk, but how do I work out which hdisks make up the hdiskpower disks?
Thanks,
Hi Ken, Yes, I got the disks - thank you for taking the time to send them to me, sorry it has taken me so long to reply, I have been off on leave.
Thanks again, Emma
Well luckily (?!) we are UK based - in south Wales, thank you Alan, if you wouldnt mind doing that it would save me a lot of problems. I would be happy to reimburse you for the postage of course.

Hello,
I'm new to Lunix and have a Red Hat Enterprise server installed. After a powercut on the weekend, one of the filesystem (not an important one) wont pass a fsck - does anyone know how I can bypass the fsck for a particular filesystem?
It was pre-installed and I didnt choose to partition any of it, so I guess all the free space must have been allocated.....is it just a case of creating directories, or can you create filesystems of a specific size within this freespace?
Soz, I come from an AIX background where it is all MUCH...

Hi Squizz,
I'm a bit new to Solaris - what do you mean by "Launch bar" - I have the CDE running at the moment, and none of the icons on the bar at the bottom has "preferences" on it....? Am I barking up the wrong tree...? ;-)

Hi,
Thanks for all your posts!
I'm downgrading because it is a test system and I need to replicate a production system here......I know it sounds a bit mad!
The LCD panel shows CA00E891 when it stops.
I will check the processer...
