Where is the other router?

The router here is acting as a reporting device. There are late collisions on the network, not necessarily on the routers interface. I have seen this before where there is a routing loop. Check the CPU utilisation.

PCs will only talk to each other if they are on the same subnet. If they are on different subnts and there is a router involved there will need to be a route through the router for the router to route the packets. Hope this makes sense, Steve
