This is a problem with the way that Avaya has implemented SIP, not a problem with your SIP trunking provider. They do not have the appropriate expertise in the IPO group to understand the RFCs, so they have made errors in their interpretation of the SIP RFCs, one of them being how DTMF volume...
They have some big issues that they are wrestling with that continue to delay the maintenance release. I have 3 R&D escalations that remain unresolved, none of which have been listed anywhere in this forum, so pray that they put out a fully scrubbed release rather than one that is half-baked.

Has anyone actually tested this to see if it works? I thought that the only digital phones that supported different ring tones were the 2400 series phones because they were stored on the phone. Does this mean that IPO is now sending ring tones to the phones. Doesn't sound right to me...
