Hi Maanton,
Firefox uses Gecko's rendering engine for animated gif's.
This is, as you have seen different to IE.
I'm afraid there is nothing you can do about it, as it is a browser difference (some call it a FF bug), not a problem with your gif.
You could try finding a comfortable fps for...
Hi Soho,
Is the line of the flower totally joined?
I mean, there are no breaks in the design is there?
If it is totally joined, you can just use the paint bucket tool with the color/gradient of your choice and click anywhere inside the flower outline.

I would say that you have the res set to 72dpi, which is the default.
Print quality images realy need a resolution of 300dpi for quality output.
With nothing selected on your canvas, go to the image size dialog and change the DPI to 300.
If Fireworks asks you about resampling, click yes to...
Fireworks is really designed for web imaging rather than large production images (unlike PS).
While I havn't found anything regarding a limit to Firework's pixel width, I have found people with similar questions and the answer has been the same. 10,000 pixels seems to be the ceiling at any res...
Hi,
When I choose to sync my whole site, I select put newer files and check the "delete files not on local site" check box.
The new files go, but the files checked for deleting simply say "Not Deleted".
I've only really noticed this since putting the site on a new server, how ever I never...
Thanks Matt,
Your idea will do the trick.
Am passing the refid to the form on the secure page as a GET variable, and then assigning it to a hidden field to go with all the other feilds using post.
Done some tests, and works a treat.
Cheers

Actually, I think my problem is when the site goes from normal, to secure and loses the session.
Is there any way to transfer this, or should would I better off using a database to manage my sessions and referals?
Or send the $_SESSION['refer'] in the url to the secure pages?
Nope,
That stopped working altogether for some reason. No matter what browser I use, even if I just go from google to the entry page, $_SESSION['refer'] simply won't display any more.
Help please
Just playing a round and think I may have found a way of doing it.
At the top of the entry page, I have the following code:
<?
session_start();
if(!session_is_registered('refer')) {
session_register('refer');
$HTTP_SESSION_VARS['refer'] = $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'];
}
?>
I outputted the...
Hi,
We are about to start a partnership with a similar company and will be x-linking.
However, our site is the only one of the two that sells online, so I want to have a way of keeping track of the people who buy after a referral from our partner.
Now, I know I could just do this by getting...
Hi,
I have a multi page form, and I want to make sure that if a user goes back that they don't lose anything.
I have the below code at the very top of the first page:
session_start();
header("Cache-control: private");
This doesn't seem to work if you go back from the second page.
Now I...
Forget that guys,
I did a bit of playing around after finding a totally random post about ob_start(); and ob_end_flush();.
Works like a bloody dream and I even answered my side question in the process. I love this stuff!
For anyone else have the above problem, here is my final code (additions...
Hello,
I am using phpmailer in a script that gets partner details from a MySQL database, and loops through each one sending a personalised message.
At present, I am giving phpmailer my own address instead of the the database email value to make sure my code is alright.
I use a test database...
Thanks once again thedaver,
It seems that I do not have tai64nlocal installed as this command doesn't seem to be recognised. A quick google tells me it is part of D J Bernstein's daemontools, but I can't find a package for this to install.
Will check with my host to see if they can help.

Hello,
New to qmail, but can't find any answer to this simple question:
I have qmail running on FreeBSD 4.8, I have root access and have found my qmail-queue and qmail-log files.
My question is, how do I open these in PuTTY? I've tried vi and it's all garbled.
Thanks
Aaron
Champion thedaver,
I did think along similar lines and tried a loop with a sleep(2) every 5 calls to mail().
The script kept on crashing but I do beleive this is a logic error on my part in the script.
Will keep at it using that method, thanks for the confirmation.
Will post the outcome
Hi,
We've got a database of around 120 partners that we want to email a personalised letter at once.
I decided to do this using php's mail() command.
Basically, the script gets all the addresses and loops through one at a time and sends a message.
The problem is, when I run it, using my own...
