I have done a little research on this. Looks as if the DMS-500 is a combination of the 100 & 250. The PRI in question is a Local PRI only, so to me it makes sense that if I set this as DMS-100 switch type, and have the providor change to NTNAPRI/NI-1 the circuit should be able to be brought...
Can the Merlin Legend R7 connect to a PRI on a DMS-500 switch? If so are there any special configurations that will need to be done? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Both Avaya and Telco have been no help.
We are changing carriers, and now have 2 T1s for outbound instead of just the one. Here is what I would like to do, just not sure how to do it.
First the facts:
All trunks/lines from Local T1 are in Pool 70
All trunks/lines from LD T1 are in Pool 892 & 891
There are 2 Merlin Legends connected...
I am switching carriers from AT&T to Qwest on my LD T1. Tomorrow we are supposed to be testing the T1 to ensure it is working properly before turn-up, and I am not sure how to test the circuit for outbound calling. Any help would be great.
I know nothing about the Merlin Legend, so bear with me.
Currently almost all users can press 5 on their phone, and it allows them to make a page on the overhead system. How would I go about restricting or giving access to this, or where would I begin looking?
I am working in Access XP and need to do the following.
table1 - table2 = query_result
Table1 and Table2 each have 4 fields that match. I want to show everything from table1 that does NOT exist in table2? Is this possible in access?
I want to start off by apoligizing for my ignorance. I am very new to this phone system and know very little about it. We have a Merlin Legend R7.
We currently have a group of numbers that are routed to an Auto-Attendant. We want to change this and have them go straight to an operator...
If it is a domain controller, set it in the default domain controller policy. Also check to make sure the workstations you want to audit have correct permissions to Apply the policy.
Couple things. Make sure the domain is replicated. It can also take 3-4 logons before a policy propogates down. Finally download GPOTOOL and GPRESULT to test the group policies. GPOTOOL will let you see if group policies have propogated and match on all DCs. GPRESULT will let you know what...
This is a registry tweak that will automatically close files sessions after a certain time. Remember that editing the registry can be dangerous.

Badmail is mail that could not be delivered. There should be no reason you can't go in and delete items in the directory. I have a script that runs weekly and deletes everything out of the Badmail directory.
*UPDATE*
I have solved the message waiting indicator, Audix was pointing to the wrong switch. Adjunct 2422 works internally now, going to voicemail, but is not being picked up with the DID. Where would I look to check those settings?
I have the adjunct setup now so that I get a busy, which you say means there is no coverage group. When I print a group coverage report, the adjunct 2422 is listed in the same group as all the rest of the extensions. Is there anything else I can look at or might be missing?
The extension is in the extension directory in the same building with the VM system. This extension should be a phantom, just not sure how to set that up.
The should be in the same area you request them. If it is greyed out, most likely the settings are forced through group policy. Run gpresult to find which policy the setting is coming from and turn it off.
First off a little background on our system. We have 2 buildings, eachs with a Merlin Legend R7.0 connected by a full point-to-point T1. Building 2 houses the voicemail system, Intuity Audix R5. I am very new to this phone system, so treat me like an idiot.
Question 1: We have an extension...
Also check with a Cisco rep. In looking into Wireless for our company, I keep hearing that wireless transmission over water can sometimes cause an issue. Something with reflections off the water. I don't know any real hard facts, just something that you may want to ask about.
