Differential backup of Unix server

Does Backup Exec 7.3 properly handle archive bits on Sun Solaris servers? We're using WINNT based BE to backup a Solaris 6 server accross the network. Two days ago we did a normal backup (reset archive bit). Last night the differential backup ran and backed up even more data than the full one...

    tcp/ip printing

If you're working with an HP printer HP JetAdmin provides for TCP/IP printing from Win95/98. Epson also has a TCP/IP solution for their network printers. Check with the manufacturer of your printer. Then just set up the local printer directed to the network device and share it.

In our...

Network cabeling interference with cable TV

In theory, the sheilding on the CATV cable should protect from cross-talk/interference. My tendency would be to give it a go. If some interference is noticed, look for bad ends or damaged coax.

Word 97 slows down when i print..

Sounds like a memory and/or drivespace shortage. If your hard drive is choked up Windows may be running short of virtual memory. Additional ram also would help since that would reduce your system's reliance on virtual memory. Try deleting any .chk files, clear your browser cache, delete tmp...

    Access violation with Adobe Acrobat

We have attempted to use Adobe Acrobat on an NT 4.0 server for automated pre-press. Everything seems to run fine until about 20-25 files have processed then Dr Watson reports on an axcess violation. We've tried Microsoft's tip; adding a registry entry to cause the heap to use SP3 algorythm...

    Saving without Macro, WD97

How can I save a document without including macros with it? The macros are used to put the document together and those reseiving it are only slowed by having the macros included.

Thank you in advance.

    Solaris X86 video driver

Never found a driver for that board. Went with ATI Xpert99, using the Xpert@Work driver. Seems to be a good combination. Thanks for the feedback.

    Typhoon 20 printer - TCP/IP printing from NT4.0

I'm working with a Dataproducts Typhoon 20 on a TCP/IP network. Other printers work from NT4.0 but this one doesn't, therefore the TCP/IP printing on the server must be correctly configured. Suspect configuration problem on Typhoon. Anyone have experience with this printer?
Solaris X86 video driver

Still haven't found the right drivers for this adapter. Perhaps more detail would be appropriate. We're working with Solaris 7. Does anyone know if Linux drivers would work with this OS?
