Hi All,
Anyone else experiencing a BUS Fault on a DS16B on 11.1.4.2 ?
I did an upgrade the other day and only the DS16B didn't come up. I took the module back to my office, connected it to a system with 11.1.4.2 on the test bench with the same results at the customers site.
I loaded the...
Depends...short answer is yes. Some licenses will not come over such as Essential Edition, PRI Licenses, etc. The AVAYA IP Endpoint licenses, 3rd party licenses, CTI licenses will come over. You will need additional licenses for the server.
The screen shots I have above are from the phone and the algo. This is isolated from the IP Office. This is a multicast direct to the device from another device assuming they are on the same network. From what I seen in the AVAYA docs you would just need to set the Multicast Paging Group to send...
I have done this already with an Algo 8301. The 8301 would multicast to the phones for a simultaneous page. The catch for you is I was able to edit the 46xxspecials.txt on the AVAYA IP Office 500v2 where you would need to program each phone individually through the web interface.
Turn off Echo Cancellation.

Press SAVE.
Press BACK, Then EXIT.
Is anyone else having an issue with essential edition group mailboxes on IP500V2 R11.1.2.2.0 where the group with state busy in visual voicemail until you log into the mailbox with dialup administration. Once you access the group vmb through dialup admin you can access the group mailbox through...
I thought about 3 different ways to accomplish this off the top of my head with preferred edition . Unfortunately with essential edition you are limited to the basic voicemail functionality.
FTI if you add Patches 0X0020 to the NUSN you can telnet to the IP Office 500V2 and head straight to the Debug. No need to DTE to the port. Obviously you want to disable this when you are not using the service because it is a security risk.
Make sure your certifications are up to date. If you don't have the required number of certifications (APSS, ACIS) then you will not be able to purchase licenses.
If the customer is not paying for Google Workplace then we are exploring other options. We are either migrating the customer to their email service (ex Microsoft Office365) or utilizing the ISPs email service. Most ISPs give you 5 email addresses for no additional charges.
One point to make is...
I went on a service call today and found a fried combo card. The system stopped working after a thunderstorm the night before. I have seen many things over my past 28 years in this industry but never have seen such laziness as this. Maybe if the previous installer grounded the system correctly...
We have used the EnGenius DuraFon Sip. We deployed 1 base per 10 cordless handsets in warehouse environments and have had great coverage. Again, just like the Ascom solution you will need 1 3rd Party IP endpoint license for every handset registered to the base.
HI Jerry.
1. Make sure you have Java installed.
If after installing Java the system status icon doesn't work, right click on the system status shortcut and select properties. Under the target, at the very end of the path, change ssaviewer.bat to ssaviewer.jar
