Hi
I want to give a certain user a particular email address, but when I add it, the system says it already exists.
Is there any way I can do a search to find out who has this address already? I don't really want to look through each and every user in turn.
I'm running Windows 2000 server...
No, this doesn't seem to be it.
After a Net Config Server command, it shows that the server isn't hidden.
We had a new router installed a week ago. It hasn't been visible since then. Would this have had anything to do with it?
Hi.
I have a strange problem that I have only just noticed.
When I go to my network places - entire network - microsoft windows network - domain, I can see every machine on the network apart from the main server. All the pcs are listed as are a couple of the other servers.
We are running w2k...
hi all,
I have a problem with our ISA server. When it was set up, it was set up to operate in cache mode. Now, I need to do some configuration on it but a lot of things are restricted (greyed out). Can I change this at all?
Thankyou
Well, things seem to have been sorted out somewhat. About 11:45 today, email 'mysteriously' started coming in for no apparent reason. No changes made to the server, and not reinstall of any service packs - Yet our ISP knows nothing about it.
Unfortunately, the backlog of emails from last week...
Just been speaking to the tekkie guys who were up on Friday. One of them is coming back again to re service pack the server. There was a strange error message when he tried to do it last week. So maybe it could be a corrupt service pack after all.
It's just that last Wednesday, our ISP...
Hi Thanks
We had some external support people in last week and they found nothing wrong at all. They beleive that the mail is sat somewhere on one of the ISPs servers and not being forwarded to us at all. Several tests were done and our server seemed to deliver mail fine when something was...
hi, we are having problems receiving external mail. I have spoken to our isp who says everything is fine. They think it is a problem with our exchange server and that it isn't delivering mail.
If this is the case there must be a bunch of emails sat somewhere on the server waiting to be...
I'm not sure this is the right place to post but it is to do with security because I'm looking to install some mail security software and it needs to be on a separate machine to our mail server.
I'm trying to determine the ip addresses used in each stage of our network but I'm having problems...
Hi,
I'm having a problem with outlook web access. when I try to type http://mydomain/exchange I get a list of everyone on the system. It doesn't prompt me for a password.
I've had problems before with this. Is there any documentation that goes step by step through the setup process? Or can...
Ok, I'm beginning to understand how this works. So what we are saying is that the firewall is NOT responsible for client PCs being unable to ftp to the outside? This is because the firewall configuration allows any request to the outside.
Therefore there must be another reason that the...
Thankyou, this is extremely helpful. I've looked at the configuration of the ISA server (I'm assuming that it is this that uses the Web Proxy Service)that we are using and there appears to be a very strange config.
Just one more question, how would I bypass this and connect the client machines...
Hi all,
I have a very strange problem. I didn't set the system up and I'm not too sure how it is working. Basically we don't use MS Proxy server but ISA server is running. There is a Web Proxy server service also running. Our client machines are set to look at the mail server for email and...
Another, perhaps daft question. When I change the configuration of the Pix, I use the 'write mem' command. Do I need to do anything to the Pix to make the changes take effect? Like a restart etc?
Thankyou
This is the configuration of our firewall.
The workstations don't have any gateway set. They do browse the internet and recieve mail though. They have to be set to look at the exchange server IP address on port 8080.
I didn't set this up, but I know that there were difficulties in getting it...
Yes, this is applied on the outside. I don't think we have one for the inside. Is this where the problem lies?
If this is the case, how would I configure our machines on the inside to ftp to the outside?
