    .PST file association

I messed up and changed my file association for .pst files to "Office Component", rather than "Office Data File". How can I get this default file association back? I cannot find that association anywhere on my system. I have tried renaming the file, repairing Office, reinstalling and none of...

Upgrade PIX software via PDM possible?

No, unfortunately, no laptop. You would think that all the other things you can do through the PDM, it would upgrade software. Oh well, maybe in the next version.

Upgrade PIX software via PDM possible?

We have multiple branch locations and need to upgrade the firmware. It is a pain to have the end users disconnect the firewall, hook it up to a pc, run tftp server etc...to upgrade. I don't see an option in the PDM to upgrade firmware. Any other options to remotely upgrade the bin file...

How to kill all user processes at once?

Instead of doing ps -ef grep username to list all previous processes, I want to kill all old user processes at the same time. We lost our T-1 connection, so it's still showing all old processes. Thanks Larsin

Need the Utility to apply patches and reboot only once

I'm aware of qchain, but I thought BE had it's own utility. I assume then, that qchain will work regardless of which entity submits a hotfix?

Need the Utility to apply patches and reboot only once

Some time ago, someone posted a utility that lets you apply multiple patches, but not have to reboot every single time one is applied. Anyone have a link? Thanks in advance, Larsin

Can RPC be assigned another port?

We have tried setting up a branch office on Pop3, but because of Active Directory authentication, we can only get it to work when using the admin account. Obviously we don't want to do this even temporarily. It seems if we want POP3 to work, we'd have to reconfigure our servers and security...

    Remote Outlook Problem

Don't trust what they tell you. It is them! We talked to over 9 people at SWB before we finally got an honest answer. Trouble is now, they refuse to put it back. Trying also to find a workaround using Pop3 for external clients.

Exchange server fails to respond to clients!

We tried going to one branch office and configuring Pop3, but it still is not authenticating... Any ideas?

Exchange server fails to respond to clients!

We also were having the same problems. Our internal pc's could connect fine, but 2 external branch offices cannot that were on SWB DSL. We have learned, and SWB has admitted to closing port 135 in preparation for the MSBlaster hit on Microsoft. Basically they are telling us they will not fix...

How do I use an animated GIF as a signature?

I am on Win2K Pro, and Outlook 97. On 98' I could save an Html file referencing the animation in the \microsoft\shared signatures folder, but I do not know where the correct path is on Win2K. Will an animated gif run under outlook '97 as a signature file?
