As far as the Console not recognizing the Paging, is the Paging in a line port?
If so, you should be able to renumber it to something that's in the Dial Olan of the Console buttons.4
http://merlinmanswebpage.yolasite.com
As I recall, you could just renumber the Console with Page 1 starting with 500.
I must admit, I'm a bit confused with how you have the Console connected, but what I suggested should work.

I remember that they could have an alarm but usually they meant nothing.

I would suggest printing the Lines, and the ARS to files and if the issue isn't obvious, posting them here.
It might help me remember what I used to know about those things.
I used to be really good at PRI, but I have been away from it for such a long time...
My Testing reveals that what you are experiencing is the way it is.
I tried it with the EXENSION set to be a FAX Extension and to NOT BE a FAX Extension, No Difference.
I tried it with a POOL LINE and a NON-POOL Line, No Difference.
I tried it with an OPERATOR Extension and a NON-Operator...
Before I do any research, answer this question. - Is the system in HYBRID-PBX or Key mode?
That may have something to do with this issue.
http://merlinmanswebpage.yolasite.com
It sounds as if groups 1 thru 8 are assigned somewhere else. -OR- being in Key Mode may be the issue.
The easiest way to find out if they are assigned would be to do a PRINT ALL with SPM and then you could do a search (with an editor or Word or...)
I'm not that sure if Key Mode would really...
The DSS Buttons have to be changed under SYSTEM RENUMBER. If you have trouble finding it, let me know and I can give more details.

Well this doesn't look very good.
Is the RED LIGHT on the T1 (AT THE PROVIDERS EQUIPMENT) on?
Has the PROVIDER done an "UPGRADE" or "UPDATE" Recently?
A lot of times, what happens is the PROVIDER decides to update the Circuit and it ends up getting CHANGED to NI-2.
MAGIX/LEGEND MUST ALWAYS...
Good luck. Bear in mind, I don't look at the forum very often these days.
But if you have SPM running and connected, just a print of the extension will show you what other extensions cover it.
http://merlinmanswebpage.yolasite.com
You really need WINSPM. A simple PRINT of the extension will tell you what you need to know.
You could get by with "Standard DOS SPM", but that would be too hard to find and use.
So, let's see if we can get your WINSPM working.
The 1st thing to check is the compatibility setting of the...
Of course, if you have enough cable going between the 2 buildings, there's a few other things you could try.
As in extending the speaker wires from a set in the house out to the garage.
And other things......

I've done it several times. But it was long long ago, in a place far far away.
But, it's fairly easy.
As I remember (which is not very well) I first off ALWAYS do a set up space renumbering on both systems.
That makes life alot easier as you go forward.
Next, you'll want to figure out a...
AUTO-CONFIG works well. It will assign a Voicemail Box to each "labeled" extension (the ones that have names).
I used it all the time to setup new systems.
However, it will assign your Voicemail Calling Group to the LAST Calling Group Number (7929) instead of the first one (770). Thus...
Since it's a MAGIX, you may be able to just BUSY IT OUT and REPLACE IT, then do a RESTORE.
Just don't move any MODULES from one slot to another.
But, considering I'm a bit late coming to the party, you're probably already done with this project.

Probably a difference in the date they were made, kinda' like Wonder Bread.
Color of twist tie/plastic clip:
Bread was baked on:
Blue Monday
Green Tuesday
Red Thursday
White Friday
Yellow Saturday
But I'm just guessing.....
